T20 Consumerism : Reimagining Indian Brands
24th JANUARY 2019 · BANGALORE
ABOUT
India is at a massive inflection point where rise in awareness, per capita income, urbanization and rise of millennials is spurring demand across multiple consumer product categories. As a result, the Indian consumption expenditure is expected to triple to $4T by 2025 from $1.2T currently. Structural shifts in the Indian market such as digital influence & access, localised content availability and emergence of new distribution models that touch the last-mile are altering the consumer landscape and creating categories that did not exist earlier. The retail market is expected to grow from $650B to $1.8T in 2025.
As India’s retail market evolves, new distribution models are emerging, leveraging data & modern trade. Modern trade is expected to account for 15% of the overall distribution, from the current 8%, Similarly, online retail is expected to account for 6% of the overall market, from the current 1%. In addition, digitally enabled last mile models for customer acquisition and fulfillment like assisted commerce is gaining acceptance across India. In view of the above, we believe that there is an opportunity for the challenger brands to redefine the consumer brands space and shape the ecosystem.

Whether you are an entrepreneur or a professional in this space, 'T20 Consumerism : Reimagining Indian Brands' is an event to look forward to. Thought leaders from the industry; corporates, entrepreneurs disrupting the space; and investors will come together on a single platform, to give startups looking to make an impact, a leg up in the space.
